We soft wash roofs. That means low pressure and a cleaning solution that kills moss, mould and lichen at the root, instead of blasting the surface. It is safer for tiles, ridge capping and Colorbond, and the roof stays clean for longer than a high pressure clean. Black streaks, green moss on the shady side and orange lichen on tiles are the usual problems we see under the escarpment.
We focus on roof washing. Small roof repairs, such as replacing broken tiles and minor repointing, can be done while we are there. We do not offer full roof restorations or replacements, so we will never push you towards a bigger job.
Houses in Mount Ousley, Keiraville, Figtree and Mount Keira sit in the escarpment's shadow for much of the day. Surfaces stay damp, so moss and mould come back faster than on open coastal blocks. Near the beach in North Wollongong and Fairy Meadow, salt and sand build up on paint and glass.
