We soft wash roofs. That means low pressure and a cleaning solution that kills moss, mould and lichen at the root, instead of blasting the surface. It is safer for tiles, ridge capping and Colorbond, and the roof stays clean for longer than a high pressure clean. Black streaks, green moss on the shady side and orange lichen on tiles are the usual problems we see under the escarpment.
We focus on roof washing. Small roof repairs, such as replacing broken tiles and minor repointing, can be done while we are there. We do not offer full roof restorations or replacements, so we will never push you towards a bigger job.
Roofs and walls that face the escarpment stay damp for most of the day. That is where moss, lichen and black streaks take hold. Our treatment kills the growth at the root so it takes longer to return.
Lichen on solar hot water panels and PV cuts how much they produce. We clean them gently as part of a roof wash.
